About Me

Hi there!  My name is Joanie.  I'm a SAHM (stay at home mom) to three sweet, sometimes crazy, boys.  I'm married to the best man in the world and I am a totes crazy cat lady.  We don't have cats anymore, and I do love ALL animals, but my heart melts just a little bit more for those furry little kitties.  We live in the South Bay of California.  We moved here from Texas about 3 years ago because of my husband's job.  He works for DreamWorks...I know, cool, huh?  We both attended Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) where he received his Master of  Science (Visualization Sciences) and I received my Bachelor of Environmental Design.  That is where we met, married and had 2 of our 3 boys.  Texas is home, but the Bay Area sure is gaining some points in my book!

I love anything design related.  A prof. of mine once said, "Design is EVERYTHING and everything is DESIGN" Marcel,  I totally agree with you.  I don't practice architecture, and probably won't pursue it once I go back to work, but I definitely appreciate all things design.  Because of my love for the creative, I tend to be a little crafty.  I choose to make most of my things, as opposed to buying them.  The hubs always asks why I torture myself with making everything...."Why can't you just buy it?"  Because I can make it cuter and for way less than buying it at the store!

My first born, Angel, is a sweet, sensitive, extremely gifted child.    He loves Legos, Minecraft, Super Mario, reading practically anything and everything, science, math and hanging out with daddy.  He just turned 8 and I'm pretty impressed with the young man he is becoming.  

Turkey, my second child, is 4.  He loves to roughhouse, play in the dirt, be barefoot outside, squish bugs (I do not condone this, by the way.  I'm always upset when he does it, but he thinks it's funny) and explore anything that will get him the most dirty and wet as possible.  He is the sweetest boy and has the best hair!  I never want to get it cut like a typical boy hair cut.  

Lastly, there's Bean.  He's 2 and is THE cutest, sweetest, snuggliest (is that a word?) boy on the planet.  He looks just like his oldest brother and is showing similar traits to what Angel had when he was that age.  He loves Mickey Mouse, Elmo and Brobee.  He loves to sing and dance and can't get enough of his Mommy!  

 

I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH!!!    I don't know what my life would be like without them.
